Police searching for 2 teen girls who vanished from Cherokee high school

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Cherokee County Schools police are searching for two teens last seen at their high school Thursday morning.

Police said Amber Lacount, 14, and Ashilynn Swanson, 13, were last seen at Cherokee High School in Canton around 9 a.m. It’s unclear if they were together when they vanished.

Lacount is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 130 pounds. Her hair color may have changed from the current photograph. Swanson is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 pounds. Police said her nose is pierced, although she may or may not be wearing a nose ring.
