ATLANTA — Happiness is infectious and that’s the only thing the surgical team from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is spreading in a new video they posted to TikTok.
The team at Scottish Rite posted a dancing video, featuring surgeons, surgical techs, OR communication specialist and an OR nurse. They took a break from their busy schedules to dance a little as part of team building week.
Leading the dance crew is Dr. Olszewski, one of the hospital’s pediatric orthopedic surgeons. Chief of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Joseph Williams typically spends his days providing specialized care for kids and teens with cleft lip and palate, facial trauma and craniofacial syndromes -- However, it is clear he knows how to operate on the dance floor.
Children’s says its surgery team brings pediatric expertise and years of experience to every procedure, whether routine, rare or complex. It is the only facility in Georgia with a Level 1 Children’s Surgery Verification from the American College of Surgeons.
“In a work day, these pediatric experts come together to surgically correct broken bones, repair craniofacial disorders and help parents through some of the scariest days of their lives. But for these 14 seconds, they had only one goal: create a video that would make their colleagues and patients’ families smile,” Children’s posted.
The video, which was also posted to Children’s Facebook page, has received thousand of video views and dozens of comments.
