An local nurse got the best kind of gift during her hospital's holiday party: A surprise reunion with her son, who's been away at Navy training.
On Wednesday, OR nurse Kenika Johnson was enjoying the annual staff holiday party at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite when she opened the door to find her 18-year-old son Martavius, who's been stationed in San Antonio.

Johnson's co-workers filmed her priceless reaction and the touching reunion between mother and son, which came just in time for the holidays.
CHOA told WSB-TV that Johnson has worked at the hospital for 18 months. She had no idea Martavius had been secretly coordinating with her manager and co-workers to organize his surprise visit. Johnson said she is thrilled to have Martavius home for the holidays, and moved by her co-workers sweet gift.
“I felt so many emotions. I’m really touched … I felt the Children’s love yesterday,” Johnson said.
