Who let the Dawgs out? Here’s where the UGA players are heading after the draft.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After winning two College Football Playoff National Championships back-to-back, the Bulldogs are heading to the NFL.

Three of the Dawgs were top choices and were taken during the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, which aired live on Channel 2.

The Philadelphia Eagles recognized the Dawgs’ talent and selected Bulldogs with three of their first five picks. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams each snatched up two Dawgs.

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter kicked off the Dawgs’ presence in the draft as the No. 9 pick for the Eagles.

Offensive tackle Broderick Jones was drafted by the Steelers just a few picks later at No. 14.

In spot No. 30, outside linebacker Nolan Smith rounded out UGA in the first round when he joined Carter in being drafted by the Eagles.

None of the Dawgs were drafted in the second round, but came back in round three with tight end Darnell Washington being drafted to the Steelers as No. 93 with Jones.

In the fourth round, cornerback Kelee Ringo rounded out the Eagles’ UGA picks when they drafted him at No. 105.

After leading the Dawgs to both of their national championship wins, quarterback Stetson Bennett was drafted by the Rams at No. 128.

In a matter of just a few picks during the fifth round, three more players were selected.

Hometown kid safety Chris Smith III was drafted No. 170 to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Outside linebacker Robert Beal Jr. was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers at No. 173.

Sticking with his quarterback, offensive tackle Warren McClendon was drafted No. 174 to the LA Rams.

In the last round, the Seattle Seahawks selected running back Kenny McIntosh at No. 237.

Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State were also represented in the NFL Draft. Yellow Jackets defensive end Keion White was drafted No. 46 overall by the New England Patriots. Kennesaw State defensive lineman Travis Bell was drafted by the Chicago Bears with the No. 218 pick.
