1 dead after shooting at Clayton County apartment complex, police say

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are searching for the suspects who shot and killed a man at a Clayton County apartment complex Monday night.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Fairway Pointe Drive in Riverdale just after 7 p.m. in reference to someone being shot.

Police say the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s identity has not been released, but police say he is in his forties.

Police initially said the suspects were in custody, but later said no one has been arrested.

Investigators say they are continuing to work to learn what happened. Police have not commented on the number of suspects in custody.

Those suspects in custody have not yet been identified and there is no word on what charges they may face.
