Officers say they were called out to a home on Brighton Trail near Jonesboro just before 9 p.m Saturday for a domestic issue. That’s where the child’s mother said she was going to meet with the child’s father Dwayne Flemings to pick up her son Djahziah Matthews.
When she got there, the mother told police Flemings sped away with Djahziah still in the car.
When describing the incident, she told officers Flemings had told her recently he was thinking about killing himself and Djahziah rather than returning the child back to his mom.
