CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office and the Lovejoy Police Department are searching for a man in the area of Chatham Townhomes at Chatham Drive and Dougherty Place.
Lovejoy police pulled over Cornelius LaMont Davis for a traffic stop on Tuesday evening.
Davis is wanted in connection with an aggravated assault case in Atlanta where a gun was used.

Lovejoy police said Davis ran away from the traffic stop and into his home in the townhome community.
Now Davis is also wanted for another aggravated assault charge for trying to hit an officer after he was stopped Tuesday night.
Deputies and officers have the community blocked off.
The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT unit entered his townhome to search for him.
Officials have not yet revealed if he was inside the townhome or not.
