CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — An early-morning motel shootout was the start of a deadly battle that left one man dead and another wounded.
Investigators said bullets continued to fly down the interstate.
Police said the gunfire started around 2 a.m. Thursday when witnesses reported hearing several shots at the Home Lodge on Old Dixie Highway in Forest Park.
Police are still trying to figure out why people were shooting at each other at the motel, but they said they found nearly 10 shell casings there.
They also found an injured man on Interstate 675. He had been shot multiple times and later died at a nearby hospital.
