CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A traffic stop in Clayton County led deputies to a stash of drugs in an unfamiliar location.

On Monday, Clayton County deputies were in the area of I-75 North and Forest Parkway when a car was reportedly clocked going 85 mph in a 65 mph zone.
As the car passed, deputies said the passenger, later identified as Robert Smith, looked back with a nervous stare.

While searching the vehicle, authorities reportedly found a Mossberg rifle, 6.4 pounds of marijuana stuffed in a suitcase in the trunk, and $12,000 cash.
The driver, Alex Smith, and the passenger are brothers. Robert Smith told deputies that he also had thrown out 2 ounces of marijuana when they first passed the deputies on the interstate.

The brothers were arrested and taken to the Clayton County Jail.
