Clayton County wants to hear from you about proposed MARTA line

Clayton County residents will have their say about a MARTA rapid transit line for the county.

The county is looking for feedback on the “BRT” proposed route. It takes people from College Park all the way to the Southlake Mall, with stops along the way.

Clayton County said the Southlake BRT system was designed to:

  • Provide greater access to jobs.
  • Provide additional reliable and frequent transit services that connect destinations within Clayton County and the Atlanta metro region.
  • Address the growing local demand for transit services in Clayton County.
  • Support land use and economic development plans.

Clayton residents now have a chance to take an online survey about the project.

It would cost more than $300 million and will likely start operation in 2026.
