Parents who watched the video say it makes no sense for an educator to take any of their clothes off in a classroom. “You got to laugh to keep from crying nowadays. You don’t know what you’re going to get from these teachers,” a parent who only wanted to be identified as Ms. Nolan said.

Another parent was not laughing when we showed her the video. The video captured a teacher who was at least shirtless with his back to the camera. “A teacher? Oh my goodness,” was how Ms. Nolan reacted when she watched the video.

TRENDING STORIES:

Someone sent Channel 2 the video. The student who shot it captioned the video: “Wht we see @ Jonesboro.” A crying laughing emoji followed those words. The student also suggested the teacher was enjoying himself.

The video has parents worried. “And if he doing this to himself he got to be looking at kids a certain way,” Ms. Nolan said.

The Clayton County School System released the following statement about the video:

“Clayton County Public Schools is aware of an alleged incident involving inappropriate behavior by an educator. District leaders are investigating this matter and will determine appropriate actions as all details are learned. As this is an active investigation, the district will not offer any additional comments.”

People who watched the video wondered what was the employee thinking. “That’s bad. He need to put some clothes on. They need to send him home,” said a man who only wanted to be identified as Milner.

Ms. Nolan says whatever the educator was doing, the classroom wasn’t the place to do it. “If you in your birthday suit, pretty much is what they call it, and you don’t have on any clothes and you’re at work I don’t know what else could you be doing,” she said.

The statement from the school district does not say if the educator is still in the classroom. Parents say they hope he is not.
