CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Some six-plus hours after Clayton County police found a 3-year old boy walking the streets in a neighborhood near Riverdale, police say the boy and his family have been reunited.

It all started when officers say they were called out to the area near Roy Huie Road and Stoneridge Court when people living in the area reported the 3-year-old boy walking the streets alone around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday night.

Officers say they tried driving the child around the neighborhood and even went door-to-door trying to find his home, but those efforts failed. They said he was not able to describe his home and couldn’t give them the name of a parent.
They said the boy kept repeating to them that he “left mommy’s house.”
