CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Clayton County are searching for the person who fired shots into a car killing the driver.
The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon on Mango Court and Conley Road.
“A vehicle had an accident with bullet holes in it,” said Clayton County Sgt. Julia Isaac.

When officers arrived, they found the driver of the car dead from gunshot injuries.
“During the investigation, they learned that one vehicle overtook the other and shot rounds into the vehicle causing the male succumb to his injuries,” Isaac said.
Authorities said the two cars were going in the same direction but police are not sure if this is a case of road rage.
Neighbors reported hearing the crash but didn’t see the other car.

Detectives are hoping the cameras at peoples’ home may have recorded the incident.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
