CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A Clayton County family is mourning a young mother who was shot and killed in a triple shooting that also injured her son and her mother.

Shyanne Harvey, 19, was killed when Karl Anthony Jordan shot inside her family’s home on Glynn Court Wednesday night.

Police say Jordan then shot her mother, Stacy Ahmed, and Shyanne’s son Jaxson when Stacy tried to run to safety.

Channel 2′s Tom Jones was at the home, where Ahmed’s husband, Joshua East, was still trying to clean up Friday. East was Harvey’s stepfather, and was furious with Jordan. Family members said Harvey had recently broken up with Jordan and told people he was stalking her.

“The man’s an animal. Sickening,” East said. '"I was three minutes away from my house when I got the call that they been shot. My wife was lying right here on the ground holding my grandson."

Jordan was captured hours after police say he shot a woman inside a McDonough Waffle House early Thursday and then stole her car. That woman’s identity and condition has not been released.

Felicia Morris, Harvey’s sister, said her mother is recovering in the hospital from two gunshot wounds. Jaxon, who was shot in the shoulder, has been released from the hospital. Shyanne’s sister says her nephew was targeted.

“He was aimed at," she said. “This man aimed a gun at a 4-year-old. My mother saved his life. I can’t understand what kind of evil person could target a child."

Morris said Jaxon is confused.

“He doesn’t seem to understand what happened," Morris said. “Just that someone shot him. I mean, how do you tell a 4-year-old his mom is gone?"

Morris said her mother isn’t faring much better.

“My mom is in shambles," Morris said. “She’s having to bury her baby.”

Morris said she doesn’t know how her family will pay for a funeral.

“We have some savings but nowhere near enough to cover a funeral and burial,” she said.

The family said they just want Jordan to be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

“I hope justice is served,” East said. “I hope to the T.”

Morris said she wants Jordan to go to jail for the rest of his life. She said her sister was taken away from her before Morris could save her life.

“He was just an unstable individual who has destroyed my family,” Morris said. “My sister... was 19. She didn’t even have a chance to grow up.”

The family has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral expenses.
