CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A missing 3-year-old boy who police believe was taken by his father has been safely returned to his mother.
Clayton County police said officers responded to 400 Voyles Drive in Riverdale around 4:45 a.m. in reference to a car theft and a missing person.

During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect, Antoine Crutchfield, who is believed to be the biological father but has not been legitimized, left the location with 3-year-old Karter Terrell.
Officers learned that the mother and Crutchfield were at a party located in 1000 block of Flat Shoals Road, College Park with the 3-year-old boy.
Police said the mother was told by another person that Crutchfield took her car and the child and left the home without her permission.

The car is described as a black Nissan Altima with Georgia license plate # RZH3038.
Police said officers were told Crutchfield was under the influence of alcohol and has a suspended license.
Police said warrants have been obtained for Crutchfield for Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle and Interference with Custody. Police have not commented on whether or not Crutchfield has been taken into custody.
