CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Two motorcyclists were killed and two more were injured in an accident that shut down part of I-75 for hours Sunday, according to Clayton County police.

The accident before Tara Blvd. closed all southbound lanes on a busy travel day the day after Christmas. Traffic backed up past I-285.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m., and the interstate was fully shut down for about three and a half hours. Around 7 p.m., two lanes were opened and traffic began flowing.

Three motorcyclists were taken to the hospital. One was pronounced dead on arrival, and another died later from his injuries. A third rider is still in the hospital in stable condition. A fourth was checked out at the scene.
The accident is still under investigation. None of the riders have been identified, and police have not said if there will be any charges.
