CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police are working to find four people who they say broke into a car dealership and stole four vehicles.
Channel 2's Christian Jennings was in Morrow, where surveillance video captured the burglary at the Hennessy Buick GMC on Jonesboro Road.
The group of men broke into the dealership by throwing a rock through the window and stole car keys before stealing four cars off the lot.
On Channel 2 Action News Sunday AM, we'll show you how you can help police identify the group of suspects.
Video shows the thieves rummaging around behind the counter inside the dealership. At least one thief is wearing a distinctive jacket with red and blue sleeves.
Jennings talked to police, who are asking for the public's help to identify the four men.
Police told Jennings they they are not sure if these are the same people who stole cars from a second dealership nearby recently.
Ricky Williams is the general manager at the dealership. He told Jennings the thieves stole four cars off his lot Friday.
"There were four guys that took a big boulder and threw it through the back glass and broke in," Williams said. "They went through all the salespeople's desks."
Eventually, the group got into the box that holds the spare keys.
"These guys, only one person had covered his face, and the rest were smiling, having fun as they went through our desks and destroyed our dealership," Williams said.
Williams said the whole ordeal cost them business. He worried that they will strike again.
"I know the dealership right next door got hit right before us, and we were unaware that had happened," Williams said.
He's talking about Terry Cullen Chevrolet, where thieves broke in April 18. Detectives are working to figure out if the two crimes are connected.
Williams just hopes someone recognizes the people in the video and calls police.
