CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Suspended Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill is celebrating being immortalized in a video game.
Earlier this week, Hill, who has long called himself an elite crimefighter, tweeted that players have added his name to the world of Grand Theft Auto V, one of the most popular video games of all time.

Grand Theft Auto V lets players take on the personas of cops and criminals in the fictional city of Los Santos.
Players also have the ability to customize certain aspects of the game, like their players’ clothes and cars.
That’s what Hill says one player did: changed their player’s car to look like one of Hill’s Blackhawk Traffic Unit patrol cars.

Hill has been suspended since June 2021 while he undergoes a federal indictment that he violated the civil rights of some of the inmates in the Clayton County Jail.
Accusations in the lawsuit include claims Hill had detainees strapped into a chair for hours and then locked in a suicide watch cell wearing nothing but a paper gown.
Hill will remain on suspension until the case is decided or the end of his term in 2024.
The Clayton County community is torn on having Hill as sheriff. While some believe his ways cross boundaries, many others say he’s managed to bring crime down and that crime has risen since his suspension.
