Threat made to Clayton County high school

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga — Police are investigating a threat made to Morrow High School in Clayton County, a school official confirmed Tuesday.

The nature of the threat was not immediately clear.

A statement from the school district said:

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) District Officials are aware of a threat made against Morrow High School. Upon being made aware of the threat, the CCPS Police Department immediately activated its safety response plan and began investigating the legitimacy of the threat. It is the responsibility of the district to safeguard our most precious resources – our students, faculty, and visitors, as such, safety protocols continue to be deployed. As this investigation is still active, no additional comments will be provided at this time.
