MARIETTA, Ga. — A 20-year-old Kennesaw woman is in critical condition after an early morning wreck on I-75.
The accident happened Monday around 3:30 a.m. on I-75 northbound at the Allgood Road overpass.

Marietta Police said a 2021 Toyota Rav4, driven by 20-year-old Anna West, was stopped in the middle lane of the highway when it was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado truck.
The truck’s driver, 32-year-old Babatope Osurnro of Marietta, sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene.

Investigators are not sure why West was stopped in the road and are still working to determine what happened.
West is a Samford University student who graduated from North Cobb Christian School, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Her mother, Susan West, said on Facebook that her daughter suffered from brain trauma and had emergency surgery.
Family members have set up a GoFundMe to help pay for West’s medical bills.
