MARIETTA — An operation between an FBI task force and undercover officers resulted in multiple arrests at a metro Atlanta hotel.

Channel 2 Cobb Bureau Chief Chris Jose learned eight people were arrested in three hours at the Radisson Hotel on Parkway Place in Marietta.

Seven of the eight arrested were pimps and prostitutes, according to police.

Jonathan Young, Dick Myers and Clifton Smith are facing pimping charges. Amanda Waddell, Bianca Fraser and Brittany Barnes are accused of prostitution.

The eighth person arrested, 47-year-old Willie Newsom, is accused of driving to the Marietta hotel to meet a 14-year-old for sex. The 14-year-old was really an undercover officer.

A Radisson manager told Jose the allegations are disturbing. The allegations also were upsetting to neighbors.

"It’s upsetting to the safety of our kids, the safety of this community as a whole," Mark Samuels told Jose.

According to the warrants obtained by Jose, the undercover officer that Newsom spoke with gave him the opportunity to stop communicating several times.

Meanwhile, police said the accused prostitutes spoke with undercover officers on the same night and agreed to meet for hundreds of dollars.

The accused pimps drove the women to the hotel and "waited outside as if they were lookouts or protection," according to the warrant.

Jose checked with the Cobb County Jail for an update on the suspects. Newsom posted bail, but two of the accused pimps and one of the accused prostitutes are still behind bars.
