COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Hundreds of anti-Semitic flyers are showing up in different subdivisions across Cobb County.
Channel 2′s Michele Newell spoke with people in Acworth and Kennesaw who say they began noticing the flyers in their driveways and near mailboxes over the weekend.
“I picked up five or six of them and I dropped them in nearby trash cans,” said Ted Dannemiller, who lives in a subdivision in Cobb County.

“These could’ve been passed out in Nazi Germany. The only thing missing is the swastika,” said Judith Steuber, who also lives in a Cobb County subdivision.
Acworth police say they most recently received a complaint about the flyers on Monday night.
“The vile flyers from that are littering our community are a sad reminder that anti-Semitic incidents in this country are rising at an alarming rate,” Regional Director of the American Jewish Committee in Atlanta Dov Walker said. “Nobody should be subjected to these cowardly messages that seek to sow distrust and division. This is an opportunity, as Georgians, to come together, learn about the positive impact that the Jewish community has had on our state, speak out against anti-Semitism and educate our friends and family of the challenges facing their Jewish neighbors.”

Neighbors say hundreds of houses were targeted.
“We have 201 houses, or something like that, and almost every house had them in the driveway,” said Steuber.
“When I picked it up, I was immediately angry,” said Dannemiller
Police say someone spotted two people throwing the flyers out of their car windows in Carrollton last month.
“I have Jewish people in my family. My nephew is married to a Jewish woman and their children are Jewish. People who are repulsed by this, they need to speak up and just say how repulsed they are,” said Steuber.
