COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Atlanta Braves offseason is in full swing, but a fan-favorite event won’t be happening in 2025.
The Braves announced on Monday that they will not hold its annual Braves Fest in January. The organization says the decision was made because of several construction projects and ongoing preparations for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game.

“With construction currently underway at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta and preparations for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, we would not be able to host the type of event that our fans deserve and have grown to love. We look forward to welcoming fans back to the ballpark for unforgettable experiences next season, both on and off the field. We hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season and we can’t wait to see you in 2025!” the team wrote in a statement.
Channel 2 Action News has reached out to see if the team’s annual Braves Gala, which is typically held the same weekend as Braves Fest, is still happening or not.
Braves Fest, formerly known as Chop Fest, draws tens of thousands of fans who get the chance to interact with their favorite Braves players, coaches and alumni.
Last year, the Braves welcomed around 90,000 fans to the event.
What are the construction projects happening at Truist Park?
The Braves announced in July that it will be expanding the Chop House to include sections 107 and 108. They are also introduce a new section called “The Bullpen,” where fans will have access to a private lounge under the seats that overlooks the Braves bullpen.
In November, the organization announced plans for a new and improved family area at Truist Park. The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Park will move Hope & Will’s Sandlot from Chop House Gate area to outside the Left Field Plaza.
