COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident Friday.

Marietta police said officers received reports of a serious injury crash at 5:19 p.m. on Cobb Parkway North at Austin Avenue.
According to the investigation, 27-year-old Gareth Burke of New South, Australia, was driving a 2006 Honda motorcycle northbound on Cobb Parkway with a group of motorcyclists.

While driving with the group, he lost control and was ejected from his bike.
Police said no other vehicles were involved.

Burke was taken to Wellstar Kennesone Hospital and is in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
