The crash happened earlier this month on Powers Ferry Road and Delk Road in front of Kroger.
Cameron Edwards was on his motorcycle when the crash happened.
“He followed all of the signs, he had the right of way and this driver turned in front of him and caused damage to my brother that is changing all of our lives,” said Crystal Edwards, who is the victim’s sister.
Edwards’ life couldn’t be more perfect before the crash happened. He proposed to his longtime girlfriend and his career in trucking was taking off.
“He had just become the owner and operator of his truck, just in May. It’s been a really good year for him and all of this has come to a screeching halt,” said Crystal.

But there’s no telling when Edwards will be able to get back to work.
“The doctor says anywhere between 90 days to a year. If not longer, to recover,” said Crystal.
Edwards was in the Intensive Care Unit for nearly two weeks. He was just moved to a normal room, but is in the Trauma Unit.
Edwards’ sister said her brother has severe injuries, including a brain injury.
“The first time that I saw my brother it was pretty bad. Head trauma, two broken ribs, a broken back in two places. Because his spinal cord is bruised, he doesn’t have the capability to use his legs right now,” said Crystal.

The driver who was involved in the crash hasn’t been charged, but Edwards’ family would like to see charges against the driver.
In the meantime, the family set up a GoFundMe page to help with expenses while Edwards remains in the hospital.
