COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County Fire Department is investigating after a fire broke out at home Sunday afternoon.

Around 12:45 p.m. Cobb Fire received several calls of heavy smoke and fire in the area of Jamerson Road in East Cobb.
According to officials, fire crews immediately responded to extinguish the fire and stopped it from spreading in the woods.

Officials said the home and adjacent garage were deemed a total loss.
The homeowner told authorities no one was at the home during the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
