COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb Electric Membership Corporation announced Friday that for 2025, there will be no increases in rates.

According to Cobb EMC, they’re ranked best in Georgia for low electric rates, and have been for 2023 and 2024 consecutively, by the Georgia Public Service Commission.

Residential rate surveys of power use by the Georgia PSC, who regulates rate changes and utilities in the state, showed that Cobb EMC’s monthly bills were an average of $98.

The electric coop said that was $42.66 lower than the average of all electric utilities for 1,000 kWh use, which is normally $140.66.

The rate survey ranks providers based on rates for bill amounts of 500 to 2,000 kWh.
