MARIETTA, Ga. — The Cobb County School District confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that a high school student was hit by a school bus Friday afternoon.
According to a district spokesperson, a student pedestrian was hit at Wheeler High School.

Details of the incident were not provided, as far as the Wheeler student’s condition.
In the statement from the district, a spokesperson called it “an unfortunate accident,” and said the student was taken to the hospital for treatment afterward, and thanked the quick actions of first responders.

“Our thoughts are with the student, who we wish a speedy recovery,” the district said.
