COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A local sheriff’s office is adding electric cars to its fleet.

On Thursday, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office announced the addition of two new electric vehicles.
One is a van to transport inmates. The other is a Mustang Mach-E.

The department says the van will move inmates around the county with no emissions.
Also, the new vehicles will eliminate the wear and tear placed on traditional gas engines when idling for a long period of time.
