COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police now say the woman who was arrested in connection to a child’s body found floating down the Chattahoochee River is the boy’s mother.

Investigators confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that they were able match the child with Breyanla Cooper through DNA.

Cobb County firefighters say they were training and filming a public service announcement last month when they saw the child’s body floating in the water.
