A sedan crashed into a retention pond Thursday, leaving the driver dead and shutting down the northbound ramp from I-75 to Chastain Road.
COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The accident happened just before 6:40 a.m., Cobb police Sgt. Dana Pierce told Channel 2's Audrey Washington.
The victim has been identified as Jamilah Burch, 22, of Lawrenceville. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police tell us the accident is under investigation and no one else was inside the car with the woman.
