On Saturday, the WSB-TV staff gathered for a moving memorial service for Moore at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
The celebration of her remarkable life continued later at the Strand Theater in Marietta Saturday night, where Emory debuted the song he wrote for her in front of fans and several of Moore’s colleagues.

The song is called “Fly, Earth Angel, Fly.” Emory said he hopes Moore was looking down on the performance and smiling.
“The very first thing I want her to feel is the love this city and the world had for her,” Emory said. “And now—we just want her to fly like the earth angel she is---and be free.”

Emory didn’t personally know Moore, but like so many people have said, he said her warm smile made her feel like family.
The lyrics referenced Moore’s professionalism, her sweet spirit, and of course, that smile.
“A smile so bright, the type to ignite the world,” Emory sang. “A daily inspiration, glow with a heart of gold.”
You can download the song and 100% of the proceeds will go to charities Our House and the National Brain Tumor Society.
