Marietta and Roswell detectives had active arrest warrants for Brown on Friday.
The former Mount Paran Christain High School teacher is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student. He was wanted on multiple charges to include sexual assault by a teacher.
Police told Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach the teen grew tired of her involvement with him and introduced him to a 15-year-old Roswell High School student, who police said he then pursued for sexual reasons.
The school sent Channel 2 Action News this statement regarding Brown:
The employment of Mr. Brown was terminated on October 4, 2016 immediately after the school learned that he had committed a violation of the standards of our Christian community. Mr. Brown was employed for one year to teach high school physics, chemistry, and computer science. The MPCS community pledges continued and full support with legal authorities as this matter is pursued. MPCS remains fully committed to a Christ-centered environment that takes very seriously its role in protecting the safety and well-being of all students.
