MARIETTA, Ga. — Marietta High School’s new interim principal will start after the Labor Day holiday.

School district leaders announced DeMarcos “Marco” Holland’s appointment on Wednesday.
He’s currently the chief human resources officer for Marietta schools.

Marietta High’s current principal, Eric Holland, resigned to become Rome’s superintendent.
Eric Holland replaced Keith Ball three months ago, when Ball was moved to an administrative position.
DeMarcos Holland has over 20 years of experience in education, the district stated.
His first day as principal will be on Sept. 6.
