The Atlantic Sun champions earned a No. 14 seed in March Madness and will face No. 3 Xavier in Greensboro, NC on Friday on the Midwest Region side of the bracket.

The full schedule is expected to be released later Sunday night.

The run to March Madness for Kennesaw State is impressive. Just three years ago, the Owls finished 1-28 overall and 0-16 in the conference play during coach Amir Abdur-Rahim’s first season.

Now, the Owls hope to become the latest basketball program in the metro area to become a Cinderella story. Basketball fans may remember when No. 14 Georgia State knocked out No. 3 Baylor in the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
