The Marietta City School Board announced in its budget meeting on Wednesday that teachers and staff will soon receive an average 8.5% raise.
“It’s this kind of investment in our employees that not only ensures we remain at the forefront of providing a high-quality education for our students but also why we really are special, different, and better,” Superintendent Grant Rivera said.
Gov. Brian Kemp approved the $2,000 raise for teachers, which ensures that educators are paid fairly for their hard work and dedication.
