COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A massive fire in a wooded area of Cobb County overtook a homeless encampment on Tuesday evening.
Fire officials confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that they responded to a brush fire along Heritage Park Trail near Barrett Pkwy.
Inside the woods, firefighters found a homeless camp that had been overtaken by the flames.

No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters said they were able to get it under control just before 8:30 p.m. and were working to put out the remaining hot spots.

It’s unclear how many people lived in the area.
Fire officials are still working to figure out what caused the fire.
