COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators are working to figure out what caused a man to drive up a ramp and off an interstate bridge in Cobb County Monday.
The pickup went up the HOV ramp and through the wall on the Akers Mill Road bridge Monday afternoon. The driver, identified as 33-year-old Dennis Farve, died on impact, according to investigators.
"He was too full of life and too full of love," Farve's fiancée, Carlea Hammond, said.
Hammond, who sat down with Channel 2's Christian Jennings at the couple's home in Dallas, said that grieving has been even more difficult because she has seen people speculating on social media that the crash was intentional. She said there's just no way that's the case.
She told Jennings that Farve had so much to live for, saying so many people loved him.
"When I close my eyes, all I vision is being in his body and seeing in his eyes what was happening," she said.

Hammond said her fiancé was headed to pick up her uncle from his dialysis appointment when he plunged over the side of the bridge and onto I-75.
"He was a good person. He was always about others and not about himself. He would put anybody and everybody before himself," she said.
Mike Harper and his wife witnessed the violent crash.
"I don't know if it will ever get out of my mind what we saw," Harper said. "We just sat there speechless for seconds."
They were sitting on the HOV ramp waiting to turn left onto Akers Mill Road when they say Farve's truck came flying up from behind them.
"He veered around us at the last second, saved our life from us having complete catastrophe ourselves," Harper said.
Harper said he estimates Farve was going between 70 and 80 miles per hour when he crashed through the concrete retaining wall. Cobb County police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
The Georgia Department of Transportation said the type of concrete wall the truck went through is not designed to withstand a head-on collision at a high rate of speed.
A GoFundMe page was created to help the victim's family with funeral costs.
