COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police have identified the victims in a shooting at an apartment complex near Kennesaw State University.
The shooting happened Sunday afternoon at the Stadium Village Apartments off Hidden Forest Court -- a complex where many Kennesaw State students lived.
Cobb County police told Channel 2 Action News the shooting may have been a result of an argument between neighbors.
Police said 18-year-old Oluwafemi Oyerinde of Lawrenceville was killed in the shooting. Two other 18-year-olds Khalil Bennett of Grayson and Jarius Bonner were taken to a local hospital.
Kennesaw State released this statement:
"Kennesaw State officials have just received a release from the Cobb County Police Department confirming the names of the victims from a shooting incident on Sunday morning at the Stadium Villages, an off-campus apartment complex. It is with profound sadness that the University confirms the deceased victim, 18-year-old Oluwafemi Oyerinde, was an enrolled student at Kennesaw State University. Neither of the other two shooting victims is a Kennesaw State University student,"
Channel 2's Christian Jennings was in Kennesaw as police investigated the shooting. Jennings spoke to two people off-camera who said the victim who was killed was their best friend.
Earlier Sunday, Jennings saw a SWAT team go into one apartment. Police told Jennings they are still searching for the shooter.
"If anyone is in here, we'll give you instructions on how to come out safely!" SWAT teams shouted into one apartment before coming out empty-handed.

The complex houses Kennesaw State University students and is located across the street from Fifth-Third Bank Stadium.
Jennings talked to a man who said he was standing outside the apartments when the shooting happened.
"I heard, like, four or five gunshots ... then I see one young kid, well two young kids, come out," Akeem Muhammad said. "I see one jump in the white car. The other young man ran right past me. He was literally four feet away."
Cage Gary and his roommate Nicolas Blanchard live at the apartments.
"I heard between eight and 10 shots, rapid fire," Gary said.
"I heard a male screaming, 'I got shot! I got shot!'" Blanchard said.
Gary and Blanchard said they heard fighting in the apartment next door through the weekend. Friday night worried them enough to make a phone call.
"We did hear some arguments going on next door," Blanchard said. "Sounded like fist fighting, banging noises on the walls around us. We actually made a call to the clubhouse."
Muhammad said he was shocked it happened at an apartment complex full of Kennesaw State University students.
"This never happens around here," Muhammad said. "It's very quiet. It's a good neighborhood. It's young people going to school."
Nyjah Dunbar told Jennings she's scared now and wants to move.
"I'm only 20 years old," Dunbar said. "I've never seen something like this. I've never been around nothing like this, so it's, like, an eye-opener."
