COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are looking for the person who shot a man at a Cobb County motel Wednesday night.

The shooting happened at the Red Roof Inn in the 2200 block of Corporate Plaza.

“He was just bleeding. He got shot three times,” motel guest Alexandria Tidwell told Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes.

Tidwell said she saw the gunman and the victim arguing outside her room.

“I guess they had a fight or something and the guy shot him in the arm,” Tidwell said. “He was bleeding pretty bad. His friend was trying to put a tourniquet on.”

Cobb County police taped off the crime scene and took evidence out of the room and told Fernandes the shooter is still at large.

“Everyone is just doing their thing, taking out trash and, all the sudden, gunshots,” said motel guest Dimitry Reznichenal. “I just started running. I ran across the street.”

Another guest who did not identify himself told Fernandes he decided to stay, but she saw several guests leaving, worried about their safety.

“It’s scary. There's been a lot of activity over here,” the guest said.

Anyone with information on this shooting or the whereabouts of the shooter is asked to call Cobb County police.
