COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police are searching for a car after police said a driver shot a teenager and then ran him over before leaving the scene.
The incident happened on St. Martins Lane in Mableton on Monday afternoon. NewsChopper 2 was over a cul-de-sac surrounded by large homes, where multiple police vehicles were responding.

Police said they found 18-year-old Ricardo Wade, of Hampton, Ga, lying in a driveway with several gunshot wounds. Police learned he’d also been run over. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.

Several people at the home were interviewed and released. Neighbors told Channel 2′s Christian Jennings they believed there was a small recording studio in the home.

Police said they believe the suspect’s vehicle is a silver (or Champagne) 2000s model Toyota Sedan.
