COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Power has been restored to the Cobb County Jail after a multi-day outage, officials said Tuesday morning.

On Sunday, a section of the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office’s Adult Detention Center experienced a power outage due to a water leak.
As of Monday, power had not been restored.

The sheriff’s office provided additional staff to ensure the health of the 600 prisoners, officials said.

Staff also provided additional necessities such as additional ice, water and provided extra safety and security checks during the outage.
