JACKSON, Ga. — We’re getting our first look at Ross Harris, 36, since he was moved to the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson.
Channel 2 Action News obtained Harris’ new booking photo from when he was processed into the jail early this week.

Harris was sentenced to life without parole plus 34 years, after a jury found him guilty on eight counts: malice murder, two counts of felony murder, cruelty to children in the first degree, cruelty to children in the second degree, criminal attempt to commit a felony, to wit; sexual exploitation of children and two counts of dissemination of harmful material to minors.
Harris left his 22-month-old son, Cooper, inside his car for nearly seven hours outside his Cobb County office building in June 2014. The toddler died of hyperthermia.

The Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison houses many of the state’s death-row inmates. According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, only immediate family members are allowed to visit inmates at the jail.
The jail consists of eight cellblocks containing both double-bunked and single-bunked cells. There are also eight dormitories, a fast-track unit housing 256 general-population inmates and a medical unit.
