SMYRNA, Ga. — Smyrna police are looking for help to try and find a 22-year old man with several mental health issues who escaped from medical personnel.
Police say 22-year old Carter Jackson suffers from severe, active delusions, hallucinations and paranoia. They say due to his mental condition, he has made threats to harm himself and others.

According to Smyrna police, Jackson was being escorted from one medical facility to another for mental health treatment late Saturday when he bolted from his escort in the area of South Cobb Drive between Ridge Road and King Springs Road.
They have been searching for him most of the night.

Carter Jackson is described as a 22-year-old, light-skinned Black male with a short, cropped haircut. He was last seen wearing green or gray hospital pants, no shirt along with red and black shoes.
Due to Jackson’s state of mind and other issues, police are asking anyone who encounters him or knows where he might be to call 911 or the Smyrna Police Department immediately.
