COBB COUNTY, Ga. — As strong severe storms, likely several tornadoes, moved through metro Atlanta, they left a path of destruction across North Georgia.
The storms caused the side of a warehouse to cave in near the area of Blairs Bridge Road and Oak Ridge Parkway.
Channel 2 Cobb County Bureau Chief Michele Newell went to the auto parts warehouse shortly after the storm passed to assess the damage.
When she got to the scene, she found one whole side of the warehouse in pieces scattered across the ground.

“There were definitely workers inside this building when this happened,” Newell said during her live report on Channel 2 Action News at 5 p.m. “I spoke to some people in this area, and they told me they heard a really loud noise. They said they even saw a transformer across the street blow up. It’s just a crazy situation out here.”
Newell is checking to see if anyone was injured in the incident but said everyone made it out of the warehouse.
