Wells Fargo employee suspected of fraud

Kwasi Adedovah was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of amphetamines, drugs not in original container and possession of controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Marietta Police Department is urging customers to monitor their bank accounts after officers said they caught a Wells Fargo employee committing fraud using information from multiple accounts.

According to police, 24-year-old Kwasi Adedovah was arrested on drug charges Sept. 28 after an incident on Roswell Street.

Authorities said an undercover officer saw Adedovah walking up to a Wells Fargo ATM in gloves, a mask and a hooded sweatshirt.

He appeared to make a transaction and then sprinted back to a nearby vehicle, police said. When officers stopped that car, they discovered items pointing to suspected fraudulent activity, according to police.

Officers said they also found amphetamines and marijuana in the car.

Adedovah is not charged with financial fraud. He is facing drug charges.

The Wells Fargo Fraud Department is investigating the allegations.
