MARIETTA, Ga. — Marietta police said a woman was hit and killed during a triple-car pile-up on Cobb Parkway seconds after she stepped off the bus and onto the sidewalk Monday afternoon.
Police said 66-year-old Lynn McTier was driving his 2013 Lexus southbound on Cobb Parkway when she crossed the median into the northbound lanes.
Across the street, 54-year-old Crystal Norris had just stepped off of a Cobb County bus.

The Lexus hit a Ford transit van and a Volkswagen Jetta. The Lexus then left the road, hitting Norris, who was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

McTier was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and his passenger, 26-year-old Alexis Wilson, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It’s unclear if anyone is facing charges in the crash or why McTier swerved into the oncoming lane. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer K. Bedford at 770-794-5364.
