MARIETTA, Ga. — A woman was hit by a car and seriously injured on Sunday evening in Marietta.
According to Marietta police, the woman was crossing the loop at South Marietta Parkway and Whitlock Avenue outside of a designated crosswalk when she was hit.
The driver remained at the scene.

She was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Her identity has not been released.
