A county board of commissioners has sanctioned one of their cohorts after she appeared to be intoxicated at a local bar.
Channel 2′s Tom Jones was in Clayton County Monday, where the vote against District 3 Commissioner Felicia Franklin was unanimous. Franklin didn’t attend the specially-called meeting
Video shows Franklin trying to attack an EMT who responded to treat her after she appeared to get drunk and irate at a sports bar. Franklin claimed that the had been drugged after Channel 2 Action News obtained video of the incident at the 404 bar in September.

Morrow police investigated and found Franklin had five alcoholic beverages on her tab and a blood test revealed she had cannabis in her system.

At the meeting, county residents made it clear how they felt about Franklin and the incident.
“Your disgraceful conduct proves you are not qualified to be the county’s chair,” Gwen Gooden, a resident, said.
Some people even demanded that Governor Brian Kemp remove her.

Franklin did not respond when Jones reached out for comment. The commissioners voted to remove her as vice chair and also reduced some of her powers for 12 months. Franklin is up for re-election next year.
