DORAVILLE, Ga. — Police have arrested a driver accused in a hit-and-run that killed a construction worker Friday morning.
Doraville Police Department and Georgia State Patrol responded to the accident off Buford Highway near Oakmont Avenue.
According to the GSP report, a CW Matthews employee was standing on the shoulder speaking with a dump truck driver.

A green Kia Soul failed to maintain its lane, hit the employee and drove away.
The worker was thrown from the scene.
The construction worker has not been identified, but troopers say he was from Douglasville.
Police said Alexis Dubose, 24, is now in custody. Charges are pending.
